Christian theological traditions and political life – Part 2. This lecture will develop a Christian theological understanding of political authority by tracing the witness of both Old and New Testaments to the calling of political authorities in God’s purposes. It will also highlight some of the features of the Christian tradition’s discussion of this subject and their implications for Christian engagement in politics today.
